Background

"Zehrapushu, Inc., is a game design company that was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1995. Founders Sean Curran and Hans Rueffert are lifelong gamers who made it their mission to provide intelligent and sophisticated alternatives to the gaming market. The word "Zehrapushu" is defined in the novel Everville as a squid-like spirit creature that inhabits the Dream Sea of Quiddity.

With the aid of HarperPrism Publishing in July 1997, Zehrapushu, Inc. published the critically acclaimed collectible card game Imajica, based on the Clive Barker novel. The game was remarkable in its ability to mesh adult themes and intricate strategy into a simple game system. The game featured classical artwork, as well as contemporary and fantasy art to create a look unparalleled by competitors.

In January 1998, the Premiere edition of Aliens Predator hit the shelves. Based on the terrifying science fiction hits "Alien" and "Aliens", meshed with the frighteningly surrealistic "Predator" blockbuster, this concept opened us up to the ultimate 3-way battle for supremacy. Subsequent expansions, Resurrection and Atmosphere, expose us to new factions, more advanced technologies, and bigger and better well, everything!"

Who's Who

"Hans Rueffert - One of the cofounders of ZI Games, Hans is principally involved in the layout of the cards. He's also our main marketing guy, the one responsible for public relations, and our media liaison. He also spends hours grabbing actual movie shots for card images.

Sean Curran - ZI Games' other cofounder, Sean dealt with the conceptual design of Imajica, and assisted in the making and playtesting of our first Aliens Predator expansion, Resurrection. He is currently completing his PhD in Mathematics at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Michael 'Pestilence' Pease - Michael joined the ZI team in 1998, originally as the official Net Rep in charge of customer support, fielding questions about its games, and handling the traffic in the discussion groups. Undertaking more responsibility, he became a more permanent fixture in the conceptual design of Resurrection and the latest expansion, Atmosphere. Having been crowned with the official title, Head of Design, Pestilence leads the playtesters and has become more involved with media relations.

Cliff and Tiffany Wiggs - This husband and wife team has accepted the position of heading the Aliens Predator Rep program and maintaining the ever-changing web page.

Derek - A longtime friend of ZI Games, Derek is the man in charge of the lead graphics for the Aliens Predator cards. His position involves using his creativity to muster up an image when one isn't available.

Jared Bronson - Jared offered up his tremendous skill in designing the hundreds of graphics for our official webpage. His work is unparalleled."
